Acoustic Precision for Rotating Systems

The customised foldable Evo-Array was developed for the localisation of vibro-acoustic phenomena on gear boxes for wind turbines at Flender GmbH. Equipped with 72 microphones and additional channels for RPM and acceleration , it enables precise order analyses on rotating machines. Thanks to flexible positioning and fast integration into test benches, we deliver high-resolution acoustic data - even at changing speeds. Aero-acoustic Wind Tunnel

The Helianthus168 array is a customised solution for aero-acoustic research. Developed for wind tunnel experiments at RWTH Aachen University, this highly sensitive microphone array with 168 microphones arranged in a spiral enables complex flow and sound phenomena to be analysed precisely. Using the powerful NoiseImage Pro analysis software and special software modules in the wind tunnel, source localisation is optimised with beamforming methods.
